‘Cold Storage’ Teaser: Joe Keery and Georgina Campbell Enlist Liam Neeson to Help Contain a Parasitic Fungus

The viral fandoms for both Liam Neeson and Joe Keery can finally unite thanks to the new sci-fi dark comedy “Cold Storage.” The “Naked Gun” and “Taken” icon and the “Stranger Things” actor both star in the latest film from legendary screenwriter David Koepp, who adapted his own novel for the screen.

“Barbarian” breakout Georgina Campbell co-leads the feature with Keery; the duo play two workers at storage facility that uncover a biohazardous government experiment. Neeson of course plays the fixer character enlisted to contain the parasite.

The synopsis reads: “Teacake (Keery) and Naomi (Campbell), two young employees of a self-storage company built on the site of an old U.S. military base, have their wildest night shift ever when a parasitic fungus escapes from the lowest sublevel of the base, where it was sealed by the government decades before. As the temperature rises underground, this highly contagious and rapidly mutating microorganism multiplies and unleashes its brain-controlling, body-bursting terrors on the facility’s inhabitants – human and otherwise. With time running out, it’s down to Teacake and Naomi, with the help of a grizzled retired bioterror operative (Neeson), to contain the merciless menace and prevent the explosive extinction of mankind itself.”

“Jurassic Park” franchise scribe Koepp will next reunite with Steven Spielberg for his untitled UFO film starring Josh O’Connor, Emily Blunt, Colman Domingo, and Colin Firth. (Koepp previously was the screenwriter of Spielberg’s original “Jurassic Park.” He later returned for Spielberg’s 1997 sequel, “The Lost World: Jurassic Park,” and the 2025 installment “Jurassic World: Rebirth.”)

“Cold Storage” was acquired by Samuel Goldwyn Films for the North American rights from Studiocanal for a wide theatrical release.

“We’re happy to continue our relationship with Studiocanal and excited to be handling this thrillingmovie from David Koepp, Jonny Campbell, and Gavin Polone,” SGF president Peter Goldwyn and CEO Ben Feingold said. The deal was negotiated by Miles Fineburg from Samuel Goldwyn Films and Chloe Marquet, Head of International Sales, Charlotte Lopez, SVP of International Sales, and Sophie Leuthreau, Head of Business and Legal Affairs International Distribution from Studiocanal.

Samuel Goldwyn Films will premiere “Cold Storage” in theaters later this year. Check out the teaser below.
